Election Results:
First and foremost, we're filled with optimism as we look to the future. With the recent election, we anticipate a bright outlook for our membership. The dawn of this new government promises greater autonomy for Manitoba Hydro to manage its affairs without undue political interference. Furthermore, we are delighted to share the appointment of the Hon. Adrien Sala as the Minister responsible for the Public Utilities Board, Manitoba Hydro, and the Manitoba Public Service. Adrien brings a strong dedication to enhancing Manitoba Hydro and preserving its public ownership. We firmly believe he is the ideal candidate for this pivotal role.
Negotiations Survey:
In the coming week, you will receive a negotiations survey directly from us. While we have already put forward substantial proposals, we place immense value on your input and ideas. Your feedback and the rationale behind it are of paramount importance as we strive to address the unique needs of our members and achieve our collective goals.
Arbitration Dates:
Arbitration dates have been set from January 29 to February 2, 2024. Briefs are due on January 9, with reply briefs scheduled for January 23. In case January does not align with our plans, we have also secured a backup option: February 12 to 15, 2024. For this contingency, briefs will be due on January 30, and reply briefs on February 6.
