STRIKE NOTIFICATION - Friday June 30th, 2023
Please be advised that the IBEW member employees (in Red) below, unless indicated as exceptions, shall be on strike as indicated:
Geographical Areas:
Morden, Portage, Killarney, Brandon, Ashern, Arborg, Thompson, The Pas, Virden, Russell, Neepawa, Swan River, Dauphin, Steinbach, Selkirk, Selkirk Lab, Lac du Bonnet.Winnipeg area (Fort Garry, City Centre, St Boniface)
Specific Areas (SCC, All Generation and Converter Stations):
- Northern Generation – Kettle, Limestone, Long Spruce, Gillam Services, Keeyask
- Radisson/Henday/Keewatinook,
- Riel/Dorsey Converter Stations
- SCC
- Western Generation – Grand Rapids, Brandon Thermal
- North Central Generation – Jenpeg, Kelsey, Laurie River, Wuskwatim, Missi Falls, Churchill River Diversion
- Eastern Generation/Winnipeg River System-Pointe, Slave, Great, Seven Sisters, Pine Falls, McArthur Falls.
Will immediately implement the following:
- No Standby
- No Callouts or Unscheduled OT as per the CA
- Scheduled OT up to a Max of 3 hours on a normal workday. (beyond current Guaranteed OT arrangements in LOU’s or LOC’s)
- Scheduled OT up to a Max of 8hours on a NON workday.
- Right of each individual to refuse any and all OT
Specific Areas (DOM Rural, Winnipeg, TSOM and any other Standby staff):
Will immediately implement the following:
- No Standby
- No Scheduled OT
- Unscheduled OT up to a Max of 3 hours on a normal workday. (beyond current Guaranteed OT arrangements in LOU’s or LOC’s)
- Unscheduled OT up to a Max of 8 hours on a NON workday.
- Right of each individual to refuse any and all OT
Exceptions: Members currently in a classroom or at the training Centre. Ex: pre-placement staff taking upgrading or classes, staff in schools at the training center or currently attending Red River College/University College of the North. New summer student hires taking training and orientation.
Strike Parameters: (Normal start/end times including guaranteed OT for those shifts shall apply.)

This withdrawal of services will be in place unless notified otherwise by IBEW 2034.
NOTE: Should management transfer non-striking members into “strike zones”, those transferred employees are immediately on strike.
