Dear Member;

Even after 60 days of strike activity, support for Local 2034 is still coming in from other allies across the labour movement.  Our thanks goes out to our supporters for their strong encouragement and defense of our cause.

Recently, Local 2085 assisted us by contributing to our strike campaign.  The following is an excerpt from Business Manager, Russ Shewchuk's letter circulated to other proponents of the labour movement:

"...we could not forget about our Brothers and Sisters here at home at IBEW Local 2034 that are fighting the most anti-union government in Canadian history. We also passed a motion to support them with $2800 .The P.C Pallister government is in an all-out war to destroy unions in Manitoba, as they assault collective bargaining rights, certifications, apprenticeship ratios, fair wages act, safe work legislation, teacher unions, and healthcare unions, including nurses during a global pandemic."

Support like this only underlines the solidarity that exists between members and locals of the IBEW.  We thank them for their encouragement.
