Dear Member,
I hope this email finds you well as we approach the holiday season!
We are pleased to share that several job classifications have successfully been reclassified to higher paygrades in recent months. This achievement has been made possible through the Enterprise Job Evaluation Process, as outlined in Section E4.12 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
There has been some confusion regarding the reclassification process. To clarify, the process is driven by management and individual employees (or their groups), not the Union. While we understand that many have reached out asking about the Union’s role in reclassifications or expressing concerns about not being reclassified alongside others, we encourage you to follow the proper process and engage directly with your management to move it forward.
This process allows every employee the right to request a review of their position if there have been significant changes in their roles and responsibilities. Please note that the process can be initiated either by the employee or management. However, each position or classification must undergo the process individually. If a position historically linked to yours has been reclassified, it does not automatically mean your position will be reclassified as well. You will need to submit your own request for review.
If you believe your role and responsibilities have evolved to include higher-level work, we encourage you to reach out to your supervisor or manager to begin this process. Once you have initiated the process, please contact Troy Craig at tcraig@ibew2034.com, who will assist in ensuring the process runs smoothly and provide support with the submission.
For your convenience, we’ve attached two documents to assist you in starting the process.
