Dear Member;

As a follow up to the Arbitration Award communication that went out earlier this week, we are able to confirm that subject to unforeseen complications or issues with hydro’s processing system, we anticipate  the implementation timeline for processing the GWI’s and retroactivity:

• The GWI for 2022  will be loaded in the system on or about April 29th, and will appear on the May 9th pay period.

• The GWI for 2023 and 2024 will be loaded in the system on or about May 15th, and will appear on the May 23rd pay period.

Note:

• The 2% advances (where applied) will be reconciled coincident with the retro being paid.

• Dual rate and standby adjustments will appear on the June 6th pay period.

The corporation has shared that applying the 3 years of retroactivity is a complicated task and requires significant manual work.  So although unlikely, there is a possibility of unexpected issues and a slight delay.  MH will be sending out a staff bulletin to employees in the upcoming weeks with all the details.

Other updates include:

• IBEW 2034 Graphics Design Contest -IBEW 2034 is reaching out to our members for creative design and art that could be utilized in whole or in part for for future embroidery or utilization for coin/pin or web design.  Members are encourage to submit their submissions titled “Graphics Design Contest”  to admin@ibew2034.com. Submission deadline is April 26, 2024.  The top 5 submissions will receive a gift!

• IBEW 2034 Photo contest - IBEW 2034 is reaching out and looking for photos of our members at work and a variety of disciplines and locations across the province.  These photos may be utilized to update web design and banner for digital calendar.  Members are encourage to submit their submissions titled “Photo Contest” to admin@ibew2034.com. Submission deadline is April 26, 2024.  The top 5 submissions will receive a gift!

• IBEW 2034 is currently working an extensive update to the IBEW 2034 website.  When updated, the link and details will be shared with the membership.
