Dear Member;

The National Day of Mourning (April 28th) is the day we collectively take a moment to remember those who have been injured or tragically lost their lives to workplace injury or illness. Thank you to all of you for your dedication to maintaining a safe environment, which not only protects your coworkers but also extends to their friends and families, ensuring that everyone returns home safely at the end of the day. Thank you for your commitment to safety and for honoring those who have been affected by workplace accidents or illnesses.

The Manitoba Federation of Labour will host a Ceremony and Leaders’ Walk in honour of the National Day of Mourning on Friday, April 26th (since April 28th is a Sunday) on Broadway St Winnipeg.

• 11:00 am: Gather at the Union Centre (275 Broadway, east side parking lot, in front of the mural)
• 11:30 am: Safe Workers of Tomorrow Leaders’ Walk (Union Centre to Memorial Park)
• 12:00 pm: Day of Mourning Ceremony at the Workers Memorial
