Dear Member;
It is with profound sadness that we report the death of an IBEW 2034 member this morning at a Manitoba Hydro worksite in the Interlake. The member was involved in work related to a power outage. The cause of the fatality is currently under investigation, but there is no risk to public safety. Manitoba Hydro is fully cooperating with the relevant authorities.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to the member's family, friends, and our entire IBEW community. Out of respect for the family’s privacy, we will not be releasing the member’s name at this time. Let us all come together to support each other during this very difficult period.
