ATTENTION ALL LOCAL MEMBERS
The following information has been forwarded to us by the 1st District Office:
2020-2021 IBEW 1st District Scholarships
AIL and TD Insurance Meloche Monnex, in conjunction with the IBEW First District, will be offering five (5) Scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00 each to all IBEW members and their families that are in studies pursuing a post-secondary diploma or degree.
An application (see attached) must be submitted into our office no later than February 12th, 2021 and must be accompanied by a brief essay (done by the applicant) outlining the benefits of belonging to the IBEW.
A random draw will be held at the First District Office on February 19th, 2021 followed by an announcement identifying the five winners.
Please share this opportunity with your Local Union members and encourage them to participate if they qualify.

IBEW FIRST DISTRICT SCHOLARSHIPS APPLICATION
The IBEW 1st District Office, in conjunction with AIL and TD Insurance Meloche Monnex is pleased to announce that five (5) Scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00 each will be made available to all Canadian IBEW members and their families, who are currently enrolled in full or part-time studies, or who are currently in pursuit of a post- secondary diploma or degree (applied to and/or accepted by institution).
The IBEW 1st District Office, AIL and TD Insurance Meloche Monnex realize the importance of continuing post-secondary education and skill development and are offering these scholarships to help interested union members and their families achieve their educational goals.
All applicants are required to submit a brief essay (the applicant must do the essay themselves), outlining the benefits of belonging to the IBEW. These essays will become the property of the IBEW and following a validation of each candidate, the successful applicants will be decided by holding a random draw.
Members who are interested in being awarded one of the scholarships for themselves or their family member are to complete the form below and then forward it to the IBEW 1st District Office, along with your essay.
All entrants must be received by Friday, February 12th, 2021; and a random draw will be held on February 19th, 2021.
