Subject: AMHSSE pay grade adjustment and vacation hours - Bulletin
HR, on behalf of our executives, is pleased to announce two changes for AMHSSE employees, which have been introduced to address internal pay equity, attraction and retention issues, and to recognize the contributions of staff.
Total Paygrade Adjustment
The executive team has approved a total paygrade adjustment of 1.5% for the AMHSSE salary ranges, effective March 30, 2023. This change will increase the top end of your salary range by 1.5%, meaning you will now have additional opportunity to grow your salary through the performance evaluation process.
After implementing this year’s paygrade adjustment, pay grades in AMHSSE, CUPE and Corporate Exempt will be aligned.
Employees who were at their maximum before the paygrade adjustment and who had a performance review between March 30, 2023 and today will be eligible for retroactive pay, which will be processed on their July 20th, 2023pay.
Additional Vacation Hours
AMHSSE employees will have 15.84 hours of vacation added to their current year’s vacation allotment in recognition or the important role you played during labour stoppages. You may cash out this additional time, use it for extra time off, or carry it over subject to existing clauses and limits outlined in the AMHSSE collective agreement.
You will see the additional vacation time in your Vacation Entitlement for the Current Year as of June 13, 2023.
