Season's Greetings 2020
Jan 25, 2021

23 December, 2020

Dear Sisters and Brothers;

As we approach the holiday season and the impending New Year, it would be easy to focus our thoughts on the hard year that has plagued us all in 2020.  There is no doubt that our members have suffered as a result of the COVID pandemic.  Many sacrifices have had to been made and, for the most part, those costs have been accepted by you, our brothers and sisters.  Your professionalism in the face of all the hardships you’ve had to endure this year is noteworthy and should be a point of pride for all of you.

With the coming year, I encourage all of you to focus, not on the negatives we’ve all faced, but rather on the better times that lay ahead for all of us.  We know there will be more hardship as the pandemic is finally wrestled to the ground, but we also know that this too will pass. Let’s resist the temptation to focus on our temporary hardships and instead, direct our energies towards getting through to our brighter futures.

Although our time with family and friends has been seriously curtailed this holiday season, I hope you all will get to more deeply enjoy and appreciate the immediate family members that form part of your “social bubble.”  I wish you all a meaningful and gratifying holiday season. Let this be a time to relax, recharge, and take time for yourselves.  You deserve it!

Below, please find season’s greetings from Tom Reid, our District 1 - Vice-President.

In solidarity,

Business Manager
